August 31st Le Silpo Opens Its Doors in Odessa 21.08.2017
This is the first in Odessa premium delicacy market of the all-Ukrainian Le Silpo chain, inspired by principles of taste, exclusiveness, eco-friendliness, healthiness and super- freshness.

Assortment of goods on 70% consists of premium products from over 100 countries: from Alaska fresh-frozen caviar up to dishware and toothpaste. One can find rare 200 kilogram oceanic blue-finned tuna and gourmet Canadian OLIBS lamb. World-famous DOP cheeses and sustained jamon, widest range of exotic fruits; Ukrainian specialties: from meat and dairy delicacies from ancient recipes to Transcarpathian herbal preparations, jams and wild bees honey. A collection of vegetable oils, among which there are 8 “olive Parker” winners Flos Olei; 12-year aged balsamic vinegar and the hottest sauce in the world (over 40 thousand scoville units); beers from 11 out of 12 trappist monastery orders and a bottle of whiskey worth 1 000 000 UAH.

The way Le Silpo selects products can be compared to the technology of manual extraction of wheat germs to make macaroni – this is how pasta is made in a small village in Tuscany. That very unique wheat aroma, which smells when boiling, was brought from there specially for Le Silpo. 99% of the time “Own import” department directly communicates with manufacturers, even if it’s a small family farm business.

Delicacy market works on modern high-tech equipment, which allows to reach the desired taste of the own cooked dishes – particularly in the culinary department. Beef cuts are kept in dry ageing cameras to make classic marbled steaks. Green coffee is roasted at the coffee department, and 24 out of 60 coffee varieties have “specialty” status. Here you can enjoy a range of own produced French desserts, pigeon milk with Belgian chocolate and confectionary for vegans. There is production of ice cream and sorbets, marmalade and zephyr based on natural fruit puree and own cheese dairy, where the freshest mozzarella and burrata are made.

Special attention should be paid to the bakery with a wood stove for bread and lavash. All Le Silpo collection of breads – from traditional recipe baguettes and croissants, found in remote corners of Europe, up to absolutely healthy novelties: gluten-free products, sour dough, products with chia seeds and spelt flakes – all of this becomes available to Odessa city dwellers.

There will be several tasting areas, where together with a sommelier you can try combination of wines (over 600 positions) with gastronomy and groceries; there is a café for sweet tooth foodies. To have a seaside bite with a glass of campaign guests can stop by the Bar de la Marine. Here one can taste fresh fish dishes and oysters without hot processing: tartars, seviche and other appetizers.

To top it off, Le Grill restaurant for 80 guests will be opened on the territory of the supermarket, where Brand Chef of the whole chain Marco Chervetti creates his masterpieces, being in love with variety of world cuisines – from his native Italian, to Chinese.

Besides gastronomic and aesthetic enjoyment for any foodie, Le Silpo guarantees high quality, only importing “green list” products, eco-friendly and DOСG products.
