Local gastronomic pleasure at the True & Local festival 02.10.2017
Local gastronomical True & Local festival has passed in Silpo supermarket on 7-8 October. The event gathered 50 Ukrainian manufacturers, whose products are presented in Lavka Tradytsii, and 9 chefs who prepared cookery masterpieces from Ukrainian farm products. 

There are not only local products in Lavka Tradytsii, there are also human stories as well. It's a pleasure for us to select quality products and make them available in our supermarkets to a wide audience, but even more pleasant - to familiarize the whole world with the creators of these products. That is why we organized the festival, which introduced manufacturers and our buyers. 

Marco Cervetti specially for the festival updated the Silpo Resto menu. All the ingredients of the dishes now are available in the Lavka Tradytsii. 

Sergii Pozhar cooked 50 liters of bograch during True & Local festival. People came from all over Kyiv to try this traditional national soup. 

Some interesting facts: 
130 kg of beef was sold by Envir (delicious meat producer). 

92 kg of meat products were bought in Svit myasa. 

30 kg of cottage cheese and 20 kg of curd casseroles were sold by Olga Kondratiyk. 

One of the favorite products on the festival was Konyk. During two degustation days, they spilled 400 liters of natural juices, equal to 4,000 glasses!  

«It was very important for us to convey the mood and the sincerity of our Ukrainian manufacturers, give an opportunity to taste delicacies so that the guests were sure – the national farmers are able to cook wonderfully tasty things. It took three months for us from the idea to organize the festival. According to reviews, we did our best. This success inspires us to organize more events», – Maryna Bulatska, Lavka Tradytsii marketing manager commented. 

In addition, there were presented following manufacturers: oil, yogurts, grape snails, sauces, jam, tomato juices, honey, cheese, sweets, and others. 

9 hours of master classes were held by the chefs and 4 hours of master classes by manufacturers during the two-day festival. In addition, we were 15 hours live on the Skovoroda radio. Each guest had a possibility to get acquainted with manufacturers, their brand history, and ideas personally. By this reason Lavka Tradytsii is a project about people, farming, and Ukraine.
