On May 12-13th the second True&Local Craft and Farmer Products Festival will take place. It will bring together the already well-known manufacturers in the Ukrainian craft world whose products labeled "Lavka Tradytsiy" one can see on the shelves of Silpo stores every day. The festival will make it possible to get to know the farmers more closely, as well as to better understand the features of the products they create themselves.
For these two days, the Silpo store at 20-D Polyarna St will turn into a seasonal market where guests will meet not only the regular representatives of "Lavka Tradytsiy" but also some new ones – from Carpathian farmers to Odesa hummus manufacturers. At the same time, 9 chefs from different cities of Ukraine will prepare their special dishes out of the products presented by local manufacturers. The symbol of spring beginning is asparagus. This is what we’ll be focused on at the festival.
In addition to the main program, the brand-chief of Silpo restaurant projects Marco Chervetti will fix the festival menu for restaurants Silpo Resto, supplementing it with the dishes of "Lavka Tradytsiy" products. Gourmets will also be pleased with the asparagus menu. And at Silpo’s own bakery the visitors can appreciate the author's cheese cakes: cheesecakes or cheese pancakes. Everyone will decide what they are like.
To get to the festival, you can only walk past the food box Er Porchettaro, the street format of Roman kitchen, where porkette and sandwiches with pork to go will be a start or finish of the route at True&Local.
