Silpo Supermarket Chain Awarded the RETAIL AWARDS “Consumer Choice 2019” 27.02.2020

The national retail award of Ukraine, Retail Awards "Consumer Choice", announced the 2019 winners. The Silpo chain has been announced the best supermarket chain in Ukraine for the sixth consecutive year. Overall, the retailer won four nominations, as well as the championship in Kyiv, Lviv and Odesa.

“It is very important that we were recognized as the best chain of Ukraine by the most important experts - our guests. In 2019, we opened 23 new themed supermarkets and updated 5 stores that received their own individual style. We have a lot of plans for this year and we hope our guests will enjoy all the developments,” said Silpo’s Marketing Director Kateryna Ohuriaieva.

The national award in the field of Ukrainian retail trade, Retail Awards, was founded in 2011. Its nominations are based on the annual in-depth analysis of the retail market. The shortlist of nominees is defined by an expert jury consisting of representatives of leading retail chains, malls and consulting companies. The winner in each nomination is determined by interviewing respondents of the Ukrainian Marketing Group's online panel, as well as all willing respondents with an open access (advertisements and polling links posted on Facebook's social networks and other online resources). The study is conducted by Ukrainian Marketing Group.

Silpo is one of the largest Ukrainian chains of grocery stores in Ukraine with an assortment of around 76,000 grocery and related products, as well as products of its own brands and imports. The company’s project “Lavka Tradytsii™” (Eng. Traditional Shop) aims to support and develop small Ukrainian manufacturers, whose products can be purchased at Silpo and Le Silpo delicacies.

As of 18/01/2020, the retail chain has 259 supermarkets, including 4 Le Silpo delicacies.
